Bugatti Type 57 Galibier '1936

The "Galibier" name, like other Type 57 body styles (Ventoux, Stelvio, Atalante), was named after an Alpine mountain pass. The Galibier was designed in-house by Jean Bugatti, Ettore Bugatti's son, and was presented as a four-door pillarless saloon, with rear "suicide" doors on earlier models (later versions had a central pillar). The design was sleek and touring-oriented, a stark contrast to the more overtly sporty Atalante or Atlantic coupé versions.
