McCORMICK: CONTINUOUS INNOVATIONS PRESENTED AT EIMA

The continuously variable transmission is also available in McCormick's X7 series, that was introduced in the Hanover Show and represented at EIMA by the new X7.6 VT-Drive models with a ZF four-range transmission. The X7 VT-Drive comprises three 4-cylinder models, i.e. X7.440, X7.450 and X7.460, with 143, 160 and 166 HP power ratings (175 HP with Power Plus for model X7.460) and two 6-cylinder models, X7.660 and X7.670,with 175 and 192 HP Power Plus power ratings, respectively. As part of the standard equipment, the entire VT-Drive range is equipped with 12” Touchscreen monitor to interact and control the tractor functions and implement operation. The engines are Betapower Fuel Efficiency Tier 4 Interim. For 2015 models the X7 mechanical versions with PS-Drive transmission will be available with the 12 ’’ touchscreen monitor, this offers compatibility with the optional auto-steer systems.

Equipped with a 4-cylinder Tier 4 Final engine, the McCormick X7.4 Tier 4 Final comes with 150 HP, 165 HP and 176 HP power ratings and characteristics conforming to European Mother Regulation standards. The structural engine determines the tractor’s narrow wheelbase (2,600 mm), all to the advantage of the machine’s excellent ease of handling.

The transmission is available in both the VT-Drive continuously variable version and the P6-Drive version with 6 Powershift speed gears and 5 robotically-activated ranges. A creeper providing 54 speed gears on load completes the proposal. The gearshift is electronically controlled by means of the multi-function armrest and has the APS (Auto Powershift) function in all ranges.
